After much deliberation and with some reluctance, we have taken the very difficult decision to retire.
As we wind the business down, we will still be taking orders to supply at regular prices and accepting some part exchanges on a very limited basis.
Generally, new stock which has arrived post 1/9/24 will not be reduced and can be recognised in store by prominent orange tickets.
Tim first entered the gun trade back in 1972 eventually going on to open McAvoy Guns together with his wife, Janet in 1985. Initially living on the premises with our three young daughters aged 5, 3, and 1. This was one of the happiest times of their life together.
Eventually our three daughters joined us in the business as did one of our Granddaughters.
We felt blessed to work with our family and other members of staff who feel like part of our family. We wish to thank all our customers over the decades, many of who have become true friends and it has been a pleasure to meet some 2nd and 3rd generation customers.
We have dealt with lots of lovely people within the gun trade and many suppliers over the years who we thank for their support through good and difficult times.
